Instructions

The illustrious Beverly Hills Hotel, affectionately known as the 'Pink Palace,' is set to unveil its most significant expansion in many decades. This ambitious undertaking introduces five brand-new public spaces designed to elevate the hotel's already celebrated dining, entertainment, and lounging experiences. These additions will seamlessly integrate with beloved existing venues such as the Polo Lounge, Fountain Coffee Room, and Cabana Cafe, all of which will retain their classic charm.

This substantial enhancement marks a new chapter for the Dorchester Collection property, which has partnered with the highly acclaimed designer Ken Fulk. Serving as the creative director for this transformative project, Fulk brings a wealth of experience from his studios in San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles, having worked with an impressive roster of hotels, individuals, and brands. His previous collaborations include the launch of Miami's Goodtime Hotel with Pharrell Williams and his roles as creative director for Major Food Group and co-founder of Felix Roasting Co. The meticulous planning for this expansion has been underway for six years, reflecting a deep commitment to thoughtful design and guest experience.

Among the exciting new offerings, guests can anticipate a sophisticated supper club and luxury dining destination, featuring entertainment curated by staff members renowned for their work at London's exclusive Annabel's and the Arts Club. A new cocktail bar will boast an outdoor terrace, offering panoramic views of the Los Angeles skyline. An indoor-outdoor lounge will provide a relaxed setting for enjoying locally sourced cuisine, coffee, and high tea, all while overlooking the iconic Sunset Boulevard. Additionally, a state-of-the-art screening room and a private dining room will cater to exclusive events and gatherings.

John Scanlon, the general manager of the Beverly Hills Hotel, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that these new spaces are poised to 'set a new benchmark' for excellence, building upon the property's rich and storied history. He emphasized the hotel's dedication to creating a collection of fresh, impeccably designed culinary and cocktail venues that harmoniously blend the iconic allure of the past with a modern sensibility. The goal is to honor the traditions that have defined the hotel for over a century while introducing forward-thinking momentum to maintain its enduring relevance. Scanlon noted that this expansion is a direct response to guests' desires for more compelling reasons to indulge in the unique experience that only the Beverly Hills Hotel can offer.

Ken Fulk conveyed his profound honor at being chosen to contribute to this pivotal new chapter for the Beverly Hills Hotel. He highlighted that his aim for these sparkling new drinking and dining experiences is to lay the groundwork for the next era of glamour and Hollywood legend. The hotel, which first opened its doors in 1912, spans 12 acres of lush tropical gardens off Sunset Boulevard, featuring 210 rooms and suites, including 23 private bungalows. It consistently hosts a diverse array of elite events, from A-list industry parties and galas to elegant weddings and special occasions, further solidifying its status as a premier destination.
